We had our four year anniversary this month. God continues to bless the ministry and bring new families and young men into the group.
The plan for last night was to do a 3-mile ruck, a devotional, and celebrate two young men's birthdays.
But one of our closest friends (really much more like family), that have been part of this group since day one, lost their son in a tragic car accident yesterday afternoon.
We sent out a short note on our group chat to let everyone know we had to cancel. Several families didn't get the message in time, and showed up at our house ready to ruck and celebrate the birthdays as planned.
So that's what we did. Just not as planned.
Some guys fished, a few rucked, and some just hung out and talked about whatever teenage boys / young men talk about. We eventually ended up celebrating the two birthdays and had friends at our house til around midnight.
It amazes me how such a tragic event could somehow lead to such a profitable night. Only God can do that!
